Football fans and players, everyone was waiting for this moment. The start of the new NFL season. With a team on the verge of making history, a new group of quarterbacks looking to showcase their talents, and the first-ever NFL game to be played on a new continent, this season is going to be a lot to witness.
How do you see?

The NFL’s 2024 season commences this Thursday, September 5th, featuring a clash between the reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Baltimore Ravens. The action unfolds at 8:20 PM ET within the iconic Arrowhead Stadium, nestled in Kansas City, Missouri. Throughout the NFL season, fans can watch games on TV via CBS, ESPN, FOX, NBC, ABC and NFL Network. The game will also be available on streaming services NFL+, Sunday Ticket, Peacock, Paramount+, ESPN+, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

Kansas City dreams of a hat trick
This season, Kansas City will be in the spotlight for more than just Taylor Swift’s presence. The Chiefs are on the cusp of making history, with the opportunity to achieve an unprecedented feat in the NFL – winning three Super Bowls in a row.
Led by head coach Andy Reid, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and tight end Travis Kelce, the Chiefs have been the benchmark for NFL success in recent times, winning three titles in the last five seasons.
Despite last year’s success and another Lombardi trophy win, there is still room for improvement for Reid and his team.
Last year’s team relied largely on its excellent defense, while the offense lagged behind. The offense scored just 39 touchdowns in the entire regular season, tied for 17th with the Washington Commanders and Minnesota Vikings, who both missed the playoffs.
So, to help Mahomes and a slightly older Kelsey, Reid and general manager Brett Veitch tried to inject new life into the offense.

The Cardinals acquired wide receiver Marquis Brown through free agency and also selected the swift Javier Vardy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Vardy, hailing from the University of Texas, notably clocked an impressive 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine.

With that extra help, the pressure will be on Mahomes and Reid to revitalize the offense and create magic once again.
After their recent success, the Chiefs are the biggest contenders to win the Super Bowl, and with their recent performance, who’s to say that history won’t be made?
new face
Occasionally, a particular draft class showcases a wealth of talent in a specific position. The 2024 NFL Draft was exceptional in this regard, boasting a remarkable depth of promising quarterback prospects.
In April’s draft, six quarterbacks were chosen within the first 12 selections, with ex-USC standout Caleb Williams leading the pack as the Chicago Bears’ top pick.
Many have long considered Williams a promising talent, and his entry into the NFL was eagerly awaited. The 22-year-old’s transition to professional football was a central narrative in this offseason’s ‘Hard Knocks,’ which offered behind-the-scenes insights into Chicago’s preparations for the upcoming season.
Williams’ immediate impact on the Bears was such that he was named one of the team’s eight captains for the upcoming season, becoming the first Chicago rookie to do so.
And his adaptation to life in professional football has impressed his veteran teammates.
“I mean, when you come to work every day like he did and the things he’s had to grow through, especially against defenses,” Bears wide receiver DJ Moore said, “and you see the work he’s been putting in day in and day out, you just To respect that and want him to be your captain.

The second overall draft pick, Jayden Daniels, will be the Washington Commanders’ starting quarterback for their Week 1 game following his strong preseason performances. However, Drake Mae, the third pick, will have to wait for his starting opportunity as the New England Patriots chose seasoned quarterback Jacoby Brissett for their season opener.

Michael Penix Jr., the eighth overall selection, will serve as the Atlanta Falcons’ backup due to the offseason acquisition of Kirk Cousins. Meanwhile, the tenth pick, JJ McCarthy of the Minnesota Vikings, unfortunately, sustained a season-ending knee injury during his rookie season.

Bo Nix, the last quarterback chosen in the first round, taken 12th by the Denver Broncos, has arguably exceeded all expectations. His outstanding performance in the preseason has won him the starting role in Colorado, a feat not accomplished by a rookie quarterback in Denver since the legendary John Elway.

The NFL consistently seeks opportunities to broaden its reach, and this season is no exception.

It was the first time in more than 50 years that the NFL played a game on the Friday night of opening weekend.
The game comes as part of the NFL’s growing international series, which will include five games overseas this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs, the epitome of the NFL’s current golden age, have a chance to pull off an unprecedented feat this season. Winning three consecutive Super Bowls, a feat never accomplished by any team before. With Andy Reid’s coaching, Patrick Mahomes’ outstanding quarterbacking, and Travis Kelce’s reliable performance, the Chiefs are now at a unique height in the NFL based on these three pillars.
Last season the team mainly relied on their strong defense. But this season, new faces like Marquis Brown and Javier Vardy have been added to the team to sharpen up the attack. Expectations are now high on Mahomes and Reid, who will need to utilize this new addition to make the offense more dynamic.
The rise of rookie quarterbacks
The 2024 NFL Draft was a hotbed of quarterback talent. Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, Michael Penix Jr., JJ McCarthy, and Bo Nix, six of these young talents stepped into the NFL this time.

The NFL’s foray into South America
South America is going to witness a historic moment in this NFL season. The match between the Green Bay Packers and the Philadelphia Eagles in Sao Paulo, Brazil will be the first NFL regular season game played in South America.
It is part of the NFL’s international series, through which the league is trying to increase its presence in different countries around the world.
What else is there to see this season?
Performance of other teams. Besides Kansas City, there are many other teams that are chasing Super Bowl wins. Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers – any of them could be champions.
Impact of new coaches and players. Many teams are entering the field this season with new coaches and players. It remains to be seen how much their impact will be on the team’s performance.
Impact of injury. There is always the risk of injury in an NFL game. If an important player gets injured, it can affect the fortunes of the entire team.
